Bobby Kimball & Jimi Jamison for a duet project due in 2011

Regarding MelodicRock.com, Mat Sinner recently posted about his current project - producing a new album featuring vocalists Bobby Kimball and Jimi Jamison. Yes, this is correct, but there's still a way to go and official news will be available shortly. Bobby stated in a recent interview that he and Jimi are set to record 20 songs written by Richard Page and Randy Goodrum for the project. So far recording of the band has taken place with Bobby and Jimi awaiting mixes to begin their vital roles. Stay tuned...

Fastway - They're not reallly part of UFO's member

Fastway's root music was AOR (Album Oriented Rock) in their first 4 albums. But their career was not really smooth as other AOR band on their era. Especially after Dave King, as their current vocalist at that time lefty the band to form metal super group Katmandu. King was replaced by Lea Hart but also replaced (again) with Toby Jepson. The last name in 2008 was announced that he will focus to form "new" band called, Gun. Pete Way was actually not part of this band, but his name was being used for commercial reason, and soon after Fastway released their first album, Pete grouped Waysted, which was better in quality, selling album and market response.

What a complicated band to be a super group???? Then, until now  Fastway still become mediocre band. And they always be... (pass : missmoondog).

Nazareth - Big Dogz (2011)

2011 album from the veteran Scottish rockers. After the critical success of their album The Newz, Nazareth approached the recording of this album with a sophisticated challenge: no tricks, no studio gimmicks: just the real thing - the authentic sound of the four members of the band in the studio. The band retired in Prague and wrote all the new songs. Yet, instead of working like most artists do nowadays - artificially creating a polite version of their new compositions- Nazareth worked on the sound, on the essence of their interpretation as well as on the spontaneity of their performance. The band ultimately wanted to bring the real spirit of Rock 'n' Roll back. That's why it only takes one play to realize Big Dogz will be a fans' favorite album as much as No Mean City (1979) or Hair of The Dog (1975).

Don't wish them to make songs such as Dream On, Love Hurts, Where Are You Now.... This album is more to hard rock sounds rather than their excellent ballad songs.

Asia New Chapter is "new" Yes

Here is the snippet from Wikipedia that informing Yes will release their new upcoming album "Fly From Here" in mud July 2011. My surprise is the keyboardist. No more Oliver Wakeman, he replaced by Geoff Downes. It's good actually..but is it not to more Asia (with Steve Howe and Geoff Downes on this band) rather than original Yes taste????

I just thinking, there is a possibility that (it's just a crazy thought) Jon will be one of his guess vocalist in this upcoming album (ha..ha..ha..).

Fly from Here is the upcoming twenty-first studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes. It is expected to be released July 12, 2011 on Frontiers Records in the US,and 22 June on Avalon in Japan. The album takes its name from its title song.

Production

Bassist Chris Squire confirmed the album's title on March 4, 2011. Fly from Here will be the band's first studio album since the release of Magnification (2001), the longest gap to date between two consecutive Yes studio albums. It will also be their first release with Benoît David on vocals (replacing Jon Anderson).Before joining Yes, David performed for over a decade as the lead vocalist in the Canadian Yes cover band Close to the Edge.
Trevor Horn, who was the lead singer for the Drama (1980) album and tour and also co-produced their next two albums 90125 (1983) and Big Generator (1987), is producing the album.^[1] According to guitarist Steve Howe, it is also expected to include a lengthy piece along the lines of the group's earlier songs like "Close to the Edge".^[5]
Drama era Yes keyboardist Geoff Downes returns to the band for this album, handling most or all of the keyboards following Oliver Wakeman's departure from the band. Downes and Horn had first approached Yes with a demo of the song "We Can Fly from Here" in 1980, prior to joining the band. The song was recorded by the band as a studio demo but left off from Drama. It was, however, played on that album's 1980 tour. A live version from that year appears on The Word Is Live (2005).After Yes disbanded in 1981, Horn and Downes recorded another demo of the song (this time as a two part suite) for possible inclusion on The Buggles' second album Adventures in Modern Recording (1981) but it was, yet again, left off the album. This version finally made its appearance on ZTT's 2010 reissue of Adventures in Modern Recording.This new Yes version will mark the first airing of a proper studio recording of the song. According to Squire, the title track will be the band's eleventh epic piece (their first in 15 years), clocking in at more than 20 minutes.Squire has also said the album will contain four other songs. The songs average 5 to 6 minutes each, and are newly written, primarily by Horn/Howe/Squire with contributions from other band members. While it was confirmed that Downes' keyboard role covers a majority of the album and its epic title track, it's uncertain as to whether or not Oliver Wakeman's contribution will remain on the final version of the album.
The cover is being designed by artist Roger Dean, who has created many album covers for the band.

Asia (original line up) is still continuing their Omega tour in 2011. They are still energetic, strong and in good harmony.

While waiting for their upcoming new album (hopefully) by this year, try to collect this album (CD1CD2).

Or, we can wait for GPS, the band made by John Payne. Since they are confirmed will release their brand new album, title "Dreamscape". GPS is as not good as Asia (original line up), but they have different taste of music. They are more rock and even more powerful. This is what I thought.

Joseph Williams and Steve Lukather still as Toto's Lead Vocalist

"New Reborn" Toto has chosen Joseph Williams, who has been joined with them on year 1986-1989, has return back !!!!

Yes, they're back after big surprise and secret speculation said by Steve Lukather on June 5, 2008. Eventually, on Feb 26, 2010, Steve (again) informed to the fans that Toto is still exist, because there are Porcaros in the band (Steve and Mike).

After Lukather announced it, then they start made some tour to honor late Jeff Porcaro and Mike who has ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)*.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (abbreviated ALS, also referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease) is a form of motor neuron disease caused by the degeneration of neurons located in the ventral horn of the spinal cordcortical neurons that provide their afferent input. The condition is often called Lou Gehrig's disease in North America, after the famous New York Yankees baseball player who was diagnosed with the disease in 1939. The disorder is characterized by rapidly progressive weakness, muscle atrophy and fasciculations, spasticity, dysarthria, dysphagia, and respiratory compromise. Sensory function generally is spared, as is autonomic, and oculomotor activity. ALS is a progressive,^[1] fatal, neurodegenerative disease with most affected patients dying of respiratory compromise and pneumonia after 2 to 3 years; although occasional individuals have a more indolent course and survive for many years.^[2]

William Bradford Champlin aka Bill Champlin (Chicago's Keyboardist & Vocals)

He was a member of Chicago Band from 1981-2009. It's a long journey with famous and super group that still exist till now. He was part of its success, especially when Chicago released Chicago 16 & 17, with David Foster as Producer. His solo albums are similar to the root music of Chicago, that is Jazz Music. His vocal & his songs are good and I like them.
